The batsman on the second position is Kumar Sangakkara with 14,234 runs and there is a gap of more than 4,000 runs in the first two positions.
In ODI cricket, there are only 12 players who managed to cross a milestone of 10,000 runs as of now. Sachin Tendulkar was first to achieve this significant achievement in 2001 while playing against Australia.
